Medical Qigong Therapist (M.Q.T.)  

Certification Objective:

The Medical QiGong Therapist certification provides the clinician with the ability to create a practice of energy medicine that allows them to recognize basic energy imbalance and provide  basic tonification qigong treatments to clients.

This course also provides safe practices for the clinician to build their own qi, for self protection, health and balance.

Certification Requirements:

MQ1 Medical QiGong for Self Health

This course can be taken privately or with a group. It is offered general four times yearly at Inner Strength. Please visit the Inner Strength Calendar fro upcoming dates.

QES  QiGong Exercise Specialist (40 hours)
CHP Chinese Health Practitioner  (40 hours)
CH1 Diagnostic tools for Chinese Medicine (40 Hours)
MQ3 Qi Deviations, Pathology and Disease Progression

(40 hours)

MQT Medical Qigong Therapist (40 hours)
MQT Exam

(8 hours)

 

CPR / First Aid Certification (16 hours)
   
Anatomy and Physiology 6 credit course or equivalent

(64 hours)

Self Development Practice: Hours in T’ai Chi or Qigong course – documented by class teacher and/or by journal of self practice (50 hours)
Clinical Internship (20 hours)
Clinical Externship

o        In teaching qigong exercise, documented with student evaluations and letter of endorsement from the facility used

o        In clinic notes (20 cases, with documentation)

40 hour courses are $2499

Exams are including the the last 1/2 day of the final course, but if the student wishes to study, return and take the final at a later date, there is a cost of $200 for testing.
